In today’s society people will lash out on a company on Social Media, Blast you on the Internet and make a company’s owner life a living hell if they are not given the proper respect and service they desire.
I just has a new roof installed on my home that I purchased a little over a year ago. I purchased the home with the intentions of do a complete remodel. We got a great price on the property/home and have been paying cash to do renovations here and there. The roof started leaking a little bit and we wanted to make sure that didn’t happen again so my wife and I decided to get a new roof and in our style we wanted to do a full metal roof. The company gave us a time line that they would be able to start the roof within 3-4 weeks (to order materials, get the permit required, etc.) and the time frame to complete the roof would be 5 days (Monday-Friday).
Not only was the service amazing they completed the roof in a shorter time frame then they gave us. They finished Weds instead of Friday. The company under promised and over delivered. I am a business owner so I know exactly what they did and I respect the hell out of it.
You might be thinking how does this tie into auto transport. Well, in this industry and any industry the under promise and over deliver is a great way to keep customers happy. We do it all the time in our business. We will tell a customer it will take 8-10 days to deliver a vehicle from Baltimore, MD to San Diego, CA and the hauler will usually deliver in 7-8 days. The customer is happy because they have their vehicle faster and we look like heroes. That is, essentially, our job. We need to make the customer feel happy about their experience when they transport a car to another state.
In the auto transport industry, unfortunately, there are many companies that will over promise and under deliver. That is NOT good for the industry, for the customer or for the company. Who is going to want to work with a company that treated them wrong the first time. About 20% of customers will transport their car again and will need a service to do so. Wouldn’t a company want to give the customer a great experience so they get repeat business on a regular basis? It is basically free money for the company because they didn’t have to do any SEO work or buy leads for that repeat customer.
Next time a customer has a great experience with the under promise and over deliver they will be more likely to leave a positive review. That is just one extra tool a company can use to show that they are reliable, reputable and dependable. Try this method and you’re business will increase.
