This is a hot lead story about how a mom took matters into her own hands when protecting her “cubs”. An armed carjacker was being chased by Police when the carjacker rammed into a minivan that contained a mom and her 13 year old son. The mother, Jessica Leismann, then took matters into her own hands to protect herself and her family. She attacked the armed carjacker. She threw the guy to the ground and held him there until Police arrived.
The reason she made this insane, yet courageous reaction was because she recently lost her 4 year old son to epilepsy. She was the “Mama Bear” that was going to do anything possible to protect her kid (cub).
That same day she because a hero as the video of her actions went viral within hours. The next day came and she was going about her business as usual when something amazing happened. She was taking her Nissan Quest, that was rear-ended just yesterday, into the shop at Southwest Kia. What was waiting for her when she arrived was a brand new car. She was actually giving the chance to pick one of three vehicles. She chose the Kia Sedona because she is used to minivans and that was what she liked. A brand new Kia Sedona has a price tag of about $35,000.
Sometimes a bad situation can turn good and then turn great. This is another car company that has hoped on the generous bandwagon. Recently a man from Detroit was given a brand new Ford Focus and over $350,000 after a story broke out about his 21 mile walk to and from work each day. He made this journey for over 10 years and never missed a day of work or was ever late. When the story broke out a college student from Wayne State University started a GoFundMe campaign and raised $350,000 in less than a week. He was also given a new Focus by a local dealership.
Good heartfelt stories still do exist. There are still good people out their and people who do the right thing as well. You just have to open your eyes to see it.
