In this article Auto Transport Quote Services is going to share some good news and also some bad news. We are going to start off with the good news. Dodge has made some changes to the Hellcat production and the way Hellcats will be purchased through the dealers. Part of the good news is that Dodge plans to double the production of the Hellcat in 2016. That means that 8,000 Hellcats will be made in the 2016 calendar year. That is awesome news!!! If you’re looking to pre-order one, check out the dealerships in August and again in February. That is when Dodge will re-open the order books for dealers. That means if you want a Hellcat, you want to be first in line to get one or they might be gone before you know it. Dodge researched the dealerships that sold a lot of Hellcats and others that did not. The more that they sold, the more they will be able to get when the re-ordering process starts again in August. When you buy a new Hellcat, call Auto Transport Quote Services to have it transported enclosed and we will make sure you have it in showroom condition upon arrival.
Something that was happening recently was some dealers knew about the shortage and was charging a large mark up on the price to make more money. The basic sticker price for a bare-bones Hellcat is $58,295. Some of these dealers were pricing them around $70,000 to make more money. Dodge took note of this and those dealerships will get penalized for their greedy nature. It is not that the Hellcat is cheap or anything, but over charging for a car is down right insulting.
That is all for the good news. The bad news starts out with the 900 orders that Dodge is canceling for 2015. That is right, 900 Hellcats are being canceled for the 2015 year and those orders will turn into 2016 model year vehicles. That hurts those people because being a first year model usually means it will get more money when it is sold later on, on specialty vehicles that is. Those that did buy and received their 2015 Hellcat will be making more money on their cars now because they made less than 4000 Hellcats this year. There was already a Hellcat that went to auction and fetched $110,000 already. Two more are set to be in a collector’s auction in August in Reno, Nevada.
Dodge is say that the 900 orders that were canceled will get the 2015 pricing, which is nice and all, but Dodge really screwed those customers out of lots of money.
